Realistic Fiction

Were you aware that when I committed to writing 3 posts a week, I actually meant 1 a week?

Yikes.

Neither did I.

Currently I am waiting for the oven to preheat to enjoy a leftover PizzaHut lunch, catching up on TV (what up Scandal?), buying Christmas presents online, and blowing up Danny’s phone with snapchats.

This is my usual routine for a Saturday in Charleston.

Except that it’s not Saturday, it’s MONDAY and I’m not in Charleston, I’m at HOME.

It’s MONDAY, I’m at HOME, and I am conducting usual Saturday business.

Hello Thanksgiving Break, I love you.

I love you. I love you. I love you.

You know what hasn’t been on my mind since 1:30 on Friday?

Lesson-plans. Acting like an adult. And whether or not my pencil-skirt can be worn yet one more day.

You know what has? (Thanks to “oh-my-gosh-have-you-seen-it-yet/who-wants-to-go-see-it-with-me-again?” Catching Fire)

Fictional characters I wish existed in real-life.

Yea. I told you Thanksgiving Break was glorious.

So, in no particular order… (Apologies in advance for the number of Harry Potter characters that follow)

1. Katniss & Peeta

Lorelai: “That’s not fair, the cake doesn’t have legs.”

14. Cory and Topanga

“Every statistic you throw at me is going to be about other people. I don’t care about other people, okay? I care about you and me. If every marriage failed except one, I guarantee you that marriage would be ours.” -Cory

Who am I missing? Anyone else feel this strongly about fictional characters?

Mel

  1. I really am questioning your taste if you wish Chuck Bass existed in real life… Most of the others however, I can get on board with 🙂

    • Lollie! Here’s my reasoning – Chuck Bass is the wounded bad boy who just needs to be loved. A tortured soul, yes…but a dreamy tortured soul. =) someone good to have in your corner if you ever need someone to plot a devious takedown. Like a lawyer, you don’t ever want to need one but when you do, you’re sure glad they do what they do. And I just can’t help but love him. Hahaha does this help?

Any thoughts?
