Cien.

Here’s the deal sugar cookies…I know I have been MIA for a full week, but I have also gotten up at 7:30am every morning for the past 8 days and I am going to be a teacher tomorrow.

I don’t know if that works for you or not.

In honor of my FIRST DAY OF TEACHING tomorrow, this post is titled appropriately in Spanish. For those of you who learned nothing in your Spanish classes growing up…cien is Spanish for 100.

THIS IS MY 100th POST !!!

Meaning that I have sat down and written 100 things for fun…without anyone requiring me to and without being graded.

Yea, I don’t even know either…

It also means that you all, or at least those of you that have been with the blog from the beginning, have read 100 things that I’ve written. You definitely deserve the bigger prize.

Here’s a sticker.

I knew this momentous occasion was coming up, but I also knew that if I wasn’t careful, I would miss it completely and my 100th post would inadvertently end up being a random slew of nothingness like I gave you last Monday.

I really didn’t want that to happen, so I did this…

after wordpress informed me I had just published my 99th post on the blog.

And in honor of my 100th post, I am going to award some superlatives and take a trip down blog memory lane…

First up, “Strangely Popular” – Workout Fails (people find this one via search engines all the time…even months later)

“Very First” – The Start of Something New (after spending 4 hours setting up the blog and playing with the theme/appearance I wrote my first post to the tune of a High School Musical song…)

“Most Popular” – Dancing with my Dad (with a whopping 16 likes)

“Most Interactive” – Happy Birthday Sister and Employment here I come!

“First Big Hit” – Going For It

“Totally Forgotten” – Under the Weather

“First Find the Beauty” – Find the Beauty Friday (before I knew to entertain with pictures)

“Hardest to Write” – When we see them

And just some of my overall faves…

Dear Freshman Me

Confessions Part 1

When I Write a Cover Letter

Let’s Recycle! (and not cry about it)

It really is hard to believe that starting this blog on a whim has so quickly become a hobby and something I enjoy doing immensely. I never knew I liked to write. I cherish you all that come hang out with me on here and allow for me to share my heart with you…the good, the bad, the weird, and the ugly.

Thank you for living la vida bella with me! I can’t wait to see where the next 100 posts takes us.

I promise to be back tomorrow  (maybe tomorrow) with a picture-filled post to share all that I’ve been doing these past few days with you.

But for now I must bid you goodnight as there are still toenails to be painted and general unwinding to be done before I stand in front of high schoolers tomorrow.

If you need me, I’ll be channeling my alter-CIA agent-ego with a couple of Alias episodes and trying to learn the Spanish alphabet.

xoxo,

Mel
